Enter via www.epic8hour.ca The summer stop for the Epic 8 Hour Series takes place at Hardwood Ski and Bike on Saturday July 26. Although the weather looks a bit wet for this week, the forecast for the weekend is perfect for riding, and the trails are in fantastic shape! The Epic 8 Hour Relay is all about the camaraderie, sportsmanship and the gritty, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal and team challenge to complete as many laps as possible from 10 am to 6 pm. Many riders prefer the 8 hour format for a solo challenge, but the majority of riders still enjoy the mix of fun, fast riding and the competitive (or not so competitive), social team atmosphere. Plastiglas Ontario Cup #4 Sunday, June 8th, 2008 Plastiglas Ontario Cup #4 will kick off this Sunday, June 8th at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton, just off Highway 401. This classic mountain bike venue, on the scenic Niagara Escarpment, sets the perfect backdrop for a late spring Ontario Cup. The 9 km course will take riders up the escarpment once a lap, and test their ability on the infamous mix of fast, smooth, and rocky trails that Kelso has to offer. Fans and spectators alike will enjoy complementary chairlift rides to the summit, which is where they can catch lots of the race action, and enjoy the views of the surrounding Halton Region. The RBC is helping support this event by covering everyone’s gate fees on Sunday, as well as, funding the chairlift to be in operation over the course of the event on Sunday.
