From beginners to seasoned pros, there's something for everyone at Canada's leading provincial series. From grueling climbs of Kelso and Mountainview to the fast singletrack at Mansfield and Buckwallow, every stop on the circuit offers something unique. A top-notch level organization, including great courses, quick registration, accurate timing, and punctual start times caps off the best attended series in the country!
Pre-riding Courses
Chico Racing would like to remind all riders that pre-riding is essentially an inspection of the course. When you are pre-riding, or racing, on a course, you may encounter animals, other forest users, hikers, spectators, horses, motorized vehicles, downed trees etc. It is important that participants are alert, and ride in control at all times even when inspecting or racing on a course. It is the rider's responsibility to always remain in control of their bicycle. Please always pay your pre-ride fees as we would like to continue our close relationship with mountain bike venues for years to come. Pre-riding on race day is not allowed, because it endangers other racers and may affect their race. Riders found pre-riding on race day may receive a suspension.

One-Event Membership
One-event memberships can be sold at registration for citizen, beginner and sport categories only. A limit of three (3) one-event memberships per season may be sold to a single individual. Riders are obligated to upgrade to a full licence after the third event. One-event membership shall not be sold to expert and/or elite riders. These categories must purchase a full licence.
Note: New policy concerning athlete in possession of a NORBA domestic licence. These participants will be permitted to purchase a one-event membership in the equivalent category as stated on the NORBA domestic licence. This will include all categories up to and including Expert. Elite category status is reserved exclusively for international licence holders.
If a rider has been licenced as an Expert/Elite within the previous year (or obtained the mandatory upgrade points in Sport), they cannot race Sport at an Ontario Cup XC race on a 1 day permit. They will be required to purchase a UCI licence and race their former ability. Riders can appeal this to the off-road licencing committee. The OCA reserves the right to apply this rule to former expert/elite regardless of years away from competition or circumstance. The purpose of this is prevent experienced riders from racing and placing in the top 3 in multiple O-Cups in Sport on 1 day permits.
