Come celebrate 10 years of Epic 8 racing Mansfield! Mansfield Outdoor Centre is the ideal location providing excellent riding, a friendly atmosphere and unparelleled camping facilities. An action-packed day of fun awaits you at the Epic 8! The Course Averaging 11 km per lap, Mansfield's Epic 8 course is loaded with fast singletrack, interspersed doubletrack for passing and the odd climb to separate the pack. Fast riders can expect to come in around 30 minutes, while the average rider should expect lap times of about 40 minutes. The course is enjoyable for all including first time racers and we change it up every year. View course map posted! Directions New teams will NOT be able to register on event day. This is a fun oriented, non-competitive event, where the kids are challenged to ride as many laps as possible within the 15 minute time limit. There are categories for ages 6 & under, ages 7-8, 9-10, and 12 and under, so there's no excuse for them not to give it a try. All pre-registered Epic Kids will receive a special Epic 8 hour t-shirt, and other treats for participation. Mansfield Breakfast - morning of the race Pancakes, sausages, coffee or tea will be available at Mansfield for $7 the morning of the event. Accommodations at Mansfield Many of you will know the value in staying over on either the Friday or Saturday night, and for those who want a little luxury there are 12 sleeping cabins available. You can also camp for $5 per person no reservation required. Email info@chicoracing.com for more information on the cabin rentals which are $60 per night and must be pre-booked. Pre-rides to be determined price wise. Saturday, May 15 7:00 am – 9:30 am......Event Kits Pick Up and Registration. 9:30 am.........................Team captain’s meeting. 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.......Epic 8 Relay. 2:00 pm.........................Epic Kids’ Race (12 & under). Each team member gets a race t-shirt and souvenir race plate. Park entry fee for all participants on the day of the event. Medals for the top three teams in each category. Wide array of draw prizes for all participants. One day licences now included at no extra cost! Everyone is eligible for draw prizes including an Opus Bike! Directions from Toronto:
- Take Hwy 400 North to Hwy 89 exit
- Turn left towards Alliston, Ontario
- Follow Hwy 89 through Alliston
- Turn right at Airport Road/County Rd. 18 (2nd set of traffic lights once outside of Alliston
= Mansfield Outdoor Centre is located 10km north of Hwy 89, on the east (right) side of Airport Road.
