Please don't pre-ride the course during, or within 12 hours after heavy rains as lots of pre-riders will damage the trail. Our course is not set up as a rain course currently.

The Solstice course is open Friday, June 18 at 12pm, however it may get shut down on Saturday depending on rainfall. Also keep in mind we are in the process of capping a number of the updated trails to make them more resistant to wear.

North America's Largest 24 Hour Mountain Bike Event!

With humble beginnings at Ganaraska, the modern day Summer Solstice is forever linked to it's current home, Albion Hills. For eleven years now a remarkable relationship has continued, combining the unparalleled camping facilities, and a constantly improving trail network. Chico Racing is excited about our relationship with Albion, and look forward to another great decade of 24 hour races at Canada's best race venue!

2010 Albion Hills Trail Improvements at Work!
Albion Hills Conservation Area has received trail grants to upgrade and improve the entire trail system. The 2010 course is going to feature many improvements over 2009 as some major grants have been accessed to improve Albion's trails, drainage and sustainability.

New for 2010 – Best decorated campsite!!!
The best decorated campsite will receive a trophy as well as complementary team for the 24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights, August 28-29! Bring your spirit, get your theme, but keep it PG please… Let’s have some fun…

New No Night Category
Not comfortable about riding in the night or purchasing or renting lights - enter the 3-4 Person No Nite Category and get all the same 24 hour benefits without the night riding. You will still get all the 24 hour benefits, however your race will finish at dusk and restart at dawn. Your team will get a total of approximately 15 hours of riding at Solstice and 13 at Hot August Nights. Perfect category for first time 24 hour riders!

The Course - 17 KM of Fun, Great For Everyone

Course Map Posted

The "double f" formula for the 24-hour is Fast and Fun. About 40% of the course is single-track, while rolling doubletrack allows both a mental break and a chance to overtake other riders.

Pre-riding will be open late Friday afternoon, June 18th, 2010. This is preliminary marking only and the course should be ridden with extra caution.
