Plastiglas Ontario Cup #2
Albion Hills Conservation Area
May 9, 2010
|
Registration opens in February 2010.
Pre-registration closes one week prior the event. Event day registration is available prior the event (cost is $10 more than pre-reg price).
Close to Toronto, Fun Course!
The GTA's most popular race venue once again plays host to the second stop on the Ontario Cup circuit. A great mix of trails, some epic climbs and a rider and spectator-friendly venue cap off a fantastic day at Albion.
The Course
With a recent trail improvement initiative expect some even faster, more flowing singletrack in addition to a fabulous network of open trails and climbs. Expert and Elite riders will face off on the Green Monster, a punishing granny-gear slog with no pitch changes for over a minute! Don't fret if you are a Beginner or Sport Rider as this is left only to the Experts and Elites!
Pre-riding
The course will be pre-marked for Wednesday, May 5, and will be easily navigable through Saturday. Standard park fees apply for all pre-riders, while park entry is included for racers only on the day of the event.

What race category is right for me to start in?
8:30 am Beginner Men's and Women's categories are for riders without much off roading mountain bike experience and/or racing experience.
9:30 am or 11:30 am (depending on age) Try-An-Ocup or Sport Level Categories are for riders with a good mountain bike experience base and probably some experience racing.
1:30 pm Expert/Elite Level Racing is something to shoot for, but you can't start in these categories.
