Pre-registration closes one week prior the event. Event day registration is available prior the event (cost is $10 more than pre-reg price).
Tons of Singletrack
Last year's course was met with many smiles as riders negotiate the unique topography and trails of Mountainview. The intimate setting, and passion of the associated club make racing at Mountainview a truly special experience. Midland is a great town with plenty of accomodations and is only a short 1.5 hour drive north of the GTA.
The Course

Those who've raced for years see this as a classic old school course. The steeper then average grades of singletrack climbs and descents, and the classic ski hill venue are reminiscent of the courses of the early to mid 90's. A great test of spring fitness, Mountainview is the perfect race to get you geared up for summer!
Pre-riding
Pre-riding at Mountain View is allowed on the Friday 9am-8pm, and Saturday 9am-6pm prior to the event. The fee for pre-riding will be $5.00, and there will be attendants on site the collect the money.
The property owners were very upset with the cyclist trespassing on the property to ride the trails. Signs have been posted warning riders that the trails are only open to licensed riders at O.C.A. sanctioned events.
Mountain View Cycling Club is concerned that we may lose the privilege of using the property all-together if the trespassing continues.
As an alternative to the pre-ride options, the O-Cup course will be set and used for races at the M.V. Thursday night series on May 27th and June 3rd.

Event Requirements
8:30 am races – Citizen Permit ($40 adult, $35 17-18 youth, $30 16 and under) or OCA Licence (licences and permits are available on site) OR one day permits are available on site for $10 ($5 for 14 and under)
9:30 or 11:30 am races – Citizen Permit for Try-an-Ocup and Singlespeed, full licences for others, or $10 one day (max 3 per season).
1:30 pm races – OCA licence is required for all categories.
What race category is right for me to start in?
8:30 am Beginner Men's and Women's categories are for riders without much off roading mountain bike experience and/or racing experience.
9:30 am or 11:30 am (depending on age) Try-An-Ocup or Sport Level Categories are for riders with a good mountain bike experience base and probably some experience racing.
1:30 pm Expert/Elite Level Racing is something to shoot for, but you can't start in these categories.

11:30 am Third Race Starts
(Junior Sport Men, Senior Sport Men, Master Sport Men 30-34, 35-39, Cadet/Jun Expert Female, Senior and Master Expert Female 30-39, 40+)
1:00 pm Free Kids’ Race - cancelled due to limited space with set up - sorry!
1:30 pm Fourth Race Starts
(Cadet Expert Men, Jr. Expert Men, Senior Expert Men, Senior Elite Men and Senior Elite Women, Master Expert Men 30-39, 40-44, 45-49)
