Spring Epic 8 Hour Saturday, May 9, 2026
26 years and still one of the best ways to kick off the season.
Join us at Mansfield for a full day of riding, friendly competition, and a great early-season vibe. Whether you’re racing hard or just getting back on the bike, this is the kind of event that gets you excited for the season ahead. Some race. Some ride. Everyone has a great day.
Mansfield is the perfect setting — sandy soils that drain well, a central location, and everything you need on-site to make it an easy, fun day.
What's NEw
- Thanks to Johnny Y. and his crew, the trails will be smoother, faster, and flowier than ever. And yes, Mt. Mansfield will only appear once per lap! With a target lap time of 30 minutes for the fastest riders, the 10km course is set for maximum fun. Separate course for solo riders.
Event Schedule
Pre-riding all day opens (a pre-ride fee applies).
6:00–7:30 PM: Registration Open – Early Race Kit Pickup
7:00–9:45 AM: Registration and Mansfield’s breakfast at their cafe.
9:30 AM: Rider Meeting near the transition area. Open to everyone, important for new participants.
10:00 AM: Race starts for teams!
10:10 AM: Race starts for solo!
11:00 AM: BBQ opens (Good Lot Beer Garden opens at noon).
2:00 PM: Epic Kids Free Race
6:00 PM: Riders No Longer Permitted to Go For Final Laps
6:30 PM: Awards Ceremony and Draw Prizes. at the main stage.
Epic 8 Kids Race
– 2:00 PM
The kid’s race is back and better than ever! Open to children up to 12 years old, this FREE race offers 1, 2, or 3 laps (based on age). No pre-registration is required—sign up at the registration table after the primary race starts.
Each participant receives: A race number plate. Goodies at the finish line.
Please complete our digital waiver after registering for the event. Show the email confirmation to receive a sticker for your number plate confirming you have completed the waiver and can ride in our event. Complete the waiver here.

Teams
The Epic 8 offers categories for solo riders, tag teams, 4-person teams, and 6-person teams. For team changes or questions, email allan@chicoracing.com.
Note: Simple name changes can be made on-site during registration.
