We have a wide range of abilities and ages participating in the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice. While we time this event, we don’t consider it a typical race. Lots of participants ride it!

We strongly suggest a mountain bike. Some people with lots of experience have raced on gravel or cyclocross bikes, but we do not advise it.

Yes, if you can’t ride mountain bike trails comfortably we strongly suggest you get more experience.

Please get in touch with your doctor.

The event is run rain or shine. We have a lot of experience re-routing courses to keep the event going.

Odyssey Medical runs our first aid during the event.

Pick up your race packages at the chalet on Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm or Saturday from 8 am to 11 am. Someone from your team will collect the packages in full for your entire team (make sure they know t-shirt sizes).

We will send out the online waiver before the event.

No, you can complete your campsite request form, but you don’t have to. We will assign you a great campsite, and Friday/Saturday camping is included in your fees.

As long as your team is paid in full by March 31, we can substitute riders at any time at no additional cost. You can even substitute riders on the day of the event.

If you are downgrading by one step (i.e. 5 Person Team to 4 Person Team) we can work that out with you, but there might be some additonal fees applied. Within 45 days of the event we do not like to make upgrades or downgrades, and additional fees might be applied. Contact adam@chicoracing.com if you need to upgrade or downgrade.

REFUND POLICY*

Refunds will only be issued up to 120 days prior to the event date. After that, you are welcome to transfer your entries at no cost. The refund amount will be as follows if you choose to do that:
– 70% of original transaction

We allocate larger sites for 6-10 Person Teams than for 5 Person Teams. Tag Teams share campsites with other Tag Teams. Solos have a large area, and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. Your teams will fit comfortably, but if you want extra space you are welcome to go to a family camping area.

Serviced sites are only available to the first 40 purchasing a serviced site and for sponsors. Serviced sites are generally sold out in the first 30 minutes when registration opens. We have a limited supply of serviced sites, and 90% of the teams won’t get them.

We can accommodate you if you want to set up a QUIET generator or invertor. Please be mindful of your neighbours.

The only way to get an extra campsite is to purchase an additional team or rent one from Albion Hills Conservation Area in the family camping area. We encourage families to join their teams, but you might find it more comfortable to get an additional site.

CHICO TIP: Some sites further from the main area offer more space.

Once you book we’ll send you a Campsite Request Form. Just fill this out; we will do our best to accommodate this. We can undoubtedly camp you next to your friends, but give us a few options of preferred camping areas.

Booking early gives you a better chance for the campsite you’d prefer. We allocate sites based on a first-registered, first-served basis.

We allocate your campsite in early to the middle of April prior the event.

We sell out the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice every year! Get your team registered asap. If we sell out the event you can go on a waiting list by emailing adam@chicoracing.com

Yes, we will have onsite food available for sale including breakfast sandwiches, salads and BBQ. We also offer Wellington beer on tap.
